No. Residents are responsible for their furnishings, we find their own belongings help them feel at home sooner.
Each resident has a personal medical alert pendant that is connected to our med aides’ pagers, and the facility’s doors are locked during the early morning and evening/night hours.
Yes. You can have a free meal with us before or after your tour. Please contact us to set up a time for a tour.
Yes. We have a limited number of rooms for couples that offer extra space for two people.
There is no formal contract, it is a month-to-month lease.

Assisted living also helps reduce the stress of owning your house which can be a financial burden.
Lebensraum offers all-inclusive services and amenities – Your Plan, One Price. Most assisted living facilities charge by “levels of care” which means additional costs are added to your monthly bill (including extra baths, laundry services, transportation requests, nurse visits, housekeeping, etc.).
Lebensraum works closely with private duty, medical home health, and hospice services that can assist with additional cares that were not present when the resident moved in initially. This additional help allows a resident to age in place. If the resident’s health declines further, where they need a higher level of care, other placement options will be discussed.
Certified Medication Aides distribute them throughout the day as prescribed by their primary physician.
Yes, just like home, they are free to go wherever they desire. Please inform staff so they know where the resident is and how long they’ll be gone.

Facility van driven by staff, and the city of Grand Island offers public transportation and there are private taxi/Uber services
We love our pets, but when an individual is in an assisted living facility, the challenges of properly caring for a pet can be a burden on the resident. A pet may visit however if it is on a leash.
We welcome visitors at any time during the day and evening, just like at home. Social interaction for our residents is crucial to their well-being so please visit us as often as you can, staff monitors the facility entrances since they are locked from 6:00 pm to 8:00 am.
